Day 1: Delhi to Agra: Agra Fort, Mehtab Bagh and Your First Evening

Mehtab Bagh (45 minutes): This Mughal garden sits on the opposite bank of the Yamuna, directly facing the rear of the Taj Mahal. Very few day-tour itineraries include it because of the extra distance. Between 4:30 and 5:30 PM, the low light falls on the marble in a way you do not see from inside the monument complex. The garden is rarely crowded and the view from here is one of the better ones in Agra.
Evening at leisure: After Mehtab Bagh, you return to your hotel. Dinner is on your own. The streets around Sadar Bazaar and Taj Ganj have good options at most price points.

Day 2: Taj Mahal at Sunrise, Fatehpur Sikri and the Drive Back to Delhi

Key stops inside are the Buland Darwaza entrance gateway, the Diwan-e-Khas audience hall, the Panch Mahal, and the white marble tomb of Sufi saint Salim Chisti inside the mosque courtyard.
Drive back to Delhi: Your driver heads directly to Delhi from Fatehpur Sikri on the Yamuna Expressway. You typically arrive between 7:00 and 8:00 PM depending on traffic near the city.
