Delhi is the first stop on your trip. It is a place where the old and the new meet. When you get there, start exploring some of the most famous sights of Delhi. Start your trip by visiting the Red Fort, a massive fort built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Next, visit the Jama Masjid, which is one of the largest mosques in India and is famous for its beautiful architecture.
Take a stroll through Chandni Chowk, a bustling market with lots of small shops, food stalls and attractions. Have some authentic Indian street food like samosas and jalebis for lunch to get a feel for the flavours of the area.
In the afternoon, you should visit India Gate, a memorial to soldiers, and Rashtrapati Bhavan, which is the President's residence. Visit the Lotus Temple or Qutub Minar at the end of your Delhi tour for a peaceful rest. Both offer unique views of the historical beauty of the city.
On the second day, you will travel to Agra, home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and head straight to the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jahan in honour of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. It is an everlasting symbol of love and is a must-see.
After seeing the Taj Mahal, visit the Agra Fort, a massive fort made of red sandstone. The UNESCO World Heritage Site has beautiful gardens and buildings, and from one of its towers, you can see the Taj Mahal in all its glory.
In the evening, shop at the local markets of Agra. You can find jewellery, marble handicrafts and other gifts. Petha is a sweet that Agra is famous for, so don't forget to try it!
After breakfast leave for Jaipur, also known as the "Pink City". On the way stop at Fatehpur Sikri. This is an old city that was once the capital of the Mughal Empire. Visit the Buland Darwaza (Gate of Victory) and the Tomb of Salim Chishti.
When you arrive in Jaipur, check in to your hotel and get ready to do some sightseeing in the afternoon. First, visit the City Palace, a royal home with a beautiful blend of Mughal and Rajput designs. The palace museum houses costumes, royal objects, and very intricate artworks.
Next, visit Jantar Mantar, which was built by Maharaja Jai Singh II as a telescope for stargazing. Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of the Winds, is a great place to end the day. It has a unique front with 953 tiny windows. In the evening, wander around the local markets of Jaipur and buy jewellery, bright clothes and handmade items.
On the last day of your trip, you must visit the Amer Fort, a beautiful hill fort with spectacular views of Jaipur. The Amer Fort is known for its Sheesh Mahal (Palace of Mirrors) and beautiful gardens. It is made of red and white sandstone. To reach the main gate of the fort, you can either walk or take an elephant ride.
After visiting the Amer Fort, take some time to visit the Jaigarh Fort or the Nahargarh Fort, which offers spectacular views of the city. Afternoon: Finish your tour and either head back to Delhi or head to the nearest airport or train stop to continue your journey.
