Detailed Day-Wise Badrinath Kedarnath Itinerary

Day 1: Delhi to Haridwar (230 km/6–7 hours)

Your journey begins with an early morning pickup from Delhi, followed by a leisurely drive to Haridwar via expressways and national highways. The route gradually transitions from city landscapes to the foothills of Uttarakhand, allowing travelers to adjust to a long road trip. After check-in and rest at the hotel, visit Har Ki Pauri in the evening to witness the Ganga Aarti, one of the most spiritual experiences of the trip. Day 2: Haridwar to Guptkashi (210 km/8–9 hrs)

Day 3: Guptkashi to Kedarnath (Trek Day)

Start early and drive to Sonprayag and Gaurikund, the origin point of the Kedarnath trek. From here, pilgrims begin the 16-18 km journey to the temple. Tourists can choose between trekking, pony rides, palanquin services, or helicopter transfers depending on comfort and fitness level. The route offers breathtaking Himalayan views and multiple rest stops. On arrival, attend evening darshan at Kedarnath Temple. Staying close to the temple after the crowds die down allows pilgrims to experience the peaceful atmosphere of a Himalayan temple.

Day 4: Kedarnath to Guptkashi

Day 5: Guptkashi to Badrinath (200 km/8 hours)

After an early breakfast, begin the drive to Badrinath via Joshimath and Vishnuprayag. This route offers panoramic mountain views and passes through changing landscapes as the altitude increases gradually. Upon arrival, pilgrims can take a holy dip in Tapt Kund before visiting the Badrinath Temple for the evening Aarti. Spending the night in Badrinath allows travelers to explore the temple town calmly and avoid rushed darshans.

Day 6: Badrinath to Rudraprayag/Srinagar

Your day begins in Mana Village (the last Indian village near the Indo-Tibet border). From here, you'll have time to see Bhim Pul, Vyas Gufa, and where the Saraswati River originates.
